Act 502 of the 2009 Regular Session, relative to Appraiser Management Companies, became effective January 1, 2010; however, §3415.21.C provides as follows:

Any appraisal company doing business in this state at the time of passage of this Act may continue to perform such services without a license until the earlier of either such time that the rules and regulations pertaining to this Chapter have been approved  in accordance with Subsections A and B of this Section or until January 1, 2011.

The Real Estate Appraiser Board is currently drafting the rules and regulations.  It is anticipated that they will be approved by late 2010.  You may follow our progress on this page as it becomes available. Applications will also be posted as they become available.
